Overview

TNGrid is a project aiming at offering an open and free Tunisian National Grid for researchers, particularly national ones. The project provides a Grid Computing platform based on institutional resources and volunteer participations.

TNGrid orchestrates multiple instances of institutional desktop grid middleware. Indeed, based on BonjourGrid, TNGrid can create a specific environment for each user based on a given computing system of his choice such as Boinc, Condor and XtremWeb.

TNGrid is managed by the research unit UTIC at ESSTT of the University of Tunis.

TNGrid could be seen also as a framework of the different research projects of the Research Unit UTIC in the field of Grid Computing.

TNGrid is presented as a National Grid Initiative (NGI) for the two international projects: EumedGrid Support and EPIKH (Exchange Programme to advance e-Infrastructure Know-How).

TNGrid is the new version of the old project called GTRS.
